General Services
Western Conservation provides a number of general services to help Protect, Conserve and Restore the natural environment.
Our General Services include:
- Site Cleanups (including rubbish collecting with our skidsteer, removal of rubbish and roadside/foreshore litter)
- Minor Earthworks including Erosion Control
- Track Maintenance (removing any hazards)
- General Bushland Rehabilitation (including pruning, brushing, planting and seeding)
Our Services
Hazard Reduction
We remove dead trees, reduce fuel loads and plenty of other services such as slashing grass and removing rubbish to protect your property this fire season.
Weed Control
Techniques include hand weeding, mulching, brush cutting, knapsack, quad bike with 20m hand line and boom, & 4WD mounted full remote control twin 100m hand lines. Licence Number 2108.
Vegetation Management
Track mounted bobcat with mulching head or brush cutter attachment can effectively control woody weeds with efficient removal of unwanted vegetation on most types of terrain.
Vegetation Mapping
Employing RPA to collect current aerial image and handheld GPS for on-ground data collection, maps are created using ArcGIS to assist you with funding applications, property/project management planning.
Firebreaks
Across all landforms and vegetation complexes, firebreaks are installed and maintained using mechanical or chemical processes, to comply with Bushfires Act 1954.
Fencing
A range of fences installed or repaired, including pine post and ring lock, steel wire rope and steel posts, chain mesh with post and rail, ring lock and steel posts, vehicle barrier gates, chicane and farm gates.
